A Children’s Advocacy Center is a child focused, community based program in which professionals from many disciplines (law enforcement, child protective services, prosecution, medical and mental health) come together to offer comprehensive services. The center is specially designed to make children feel comfortable and safe. The home-like atmosphere minimizes trauma and prevents further victimization.

To promote the prevention of child abuse and family violence in all its forms, and to promote interagency collaboration to improve community services for child abuse victims and their families.

Forensic Interviews in a child friendly atmosphere with audio/video capabilities
Forensic Evaluations conducted by trained therapists
Medical Room & Exams by specially trained physicians
Mental Health Counseling for child victims of abuse
Weekly Parenting Classes
Parent Resource Library
Multidisciplinary Teams for All Counties in Green River District
Crisis Counseling, Victim Advocacy and Support to child victims of abuse, neglect, dependency and domestic violence
Speaker’s Bureau/Community Awareness
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Child victim advocacy and counseling services are available for any child victim of abuse, neglect, dependency or domestic violence. Some services require referral from Law Enforcement Agencies or The Department for Community Based Services.
* All programs of The Children’s Advocacy Center of Green River District are provided at no cost to any person so long as they meet program criteria. Services are made possible thanks to grants and community support.
